Then these are the more specific Forum rules. Now remember: This rule list is not total, the excuse 'it wasn't on the rules list' isn't applicable. This is not a democracy. These will periodically be updated, check the title for a date.
None of these rules allow you to flame someone for breaking a rule. Making a post just to say "YOU BROKE A RULE" will probably get you in trouble too.
1: No spam.
What this means, quite simply, is don' post random messages that have nothing to do with the topic of the thread. This is spam, and it is quite annoying. Therefore, don't do it as it will only get you banned. It causes disruptions in the topic and is just plain annoying.
Posting in a spam thread is pointless, just report it.
2: No trolling.
Trolling is the act of trying to get someone mad. This means calling someone a noob, creating a new thread saying how mean/stupid someone else is, stuff like that just makes people angry and gets them and you banned. So don't do it.
This also means corrective trolling, where you post just to correct other's typos or mistaken facts. Players use this method to make the person feel stupid and angry as well.
This includes mis-named links to RickRoll videos and the like.
3: Post in the right section.
Don't post about your new toy in the General Discussion, the GD section is for Roblox-related chat, post it in Off-Topic, where it belongs. Same thing applies to questions about scripting, building, etc. We made a bunch of forums for a reason, use 'em.
4: What the mods say, goes.
If a mod posts telling someone to stop whatever it is they are doing, listen to them. Chances are good that they're keeping you from being banned, so it's in your best interest to listen to what we have to say. The excuse "it's not in the rules" won't work, that's even more likely to get you banned.
All moderators have a big shiny Hammer under their picture, as well as the actual term "Moderator", as you can see in my profile to the left.
5: One report is enough for a thread.
If you come across a thread that is full of bad posts, send in ONE report on the FIRST POST of the thread, and say in the comment "the whole dang thread is bad!" This will get the moderator who looks at the report to go to the thread and clean it out as needed.
6: No off-site links.
Don't post links to videos, websites, pictures, etc. They HAVE to be directly Roblox-related, or else no. So no YouTube Poops, no links to funnyjunk, etc.
Roblox videos on Google Video is fine, Roblox Fansites that are listed on the Blog are fine. Other than that, no.
7: There is no rule #7. Therefore it is a paradox. Prepare for a wormhole to be opened.
8: Be nice.
Syrsly. Don't post things like "you're a stupid noob" (see rule #2) because someone is asking a legitimate question. Send them to the Help section or answer it for them, don't yell at them. The reason a Newb stays a newb is because everyone treats him like one.
9: No trading.
Trading of any sort isn't allowed on Roblox, so don't do it. If you want to exchange money find some way to do it off-site, like on Clockwork's Roblox HQ page.
10: Don't give out your password.
Like, Evar. All it does is put your account at risk of being banned or trashed, and creates havoc for the Admins to sort out. Therefore if you give out your password and log on to find your money gone, BC canceled and hats empty it's your own fault. So don't do it.
11: Posting links to sites to earn yourself money are not allowed.
Recently people have been using a site named "bux.to" or something to try and get themselves money for Builder's Club. This is not allowed and will get the post deleted and a possible ban. Don't do it.
12: This is not a obituary forum, don't post about your dead friend/relative/cat.
While it's very sad this isn't the place to discuss such a thing. Don't talk about it here.
13: Respect each other. Don't call each other names.
Don't be mean just to be mean. Calling other people names is just another form of trolling.
14: Purposely breaking any of these rules with an alt account will get all your accounts punished.
Just because you think you're clever and create another account to break the rules on doesn't mean we don't know what your other accounts are. Chances are pretty good we'll track you down and all your accounts will get punished.
15: Use descriptive thread titles.
In order for the forum users to know what you're talking about, make a descriptive thread title.
"??????" is not descriptive.
"Bug: Sword Mesh" is a good thread title.
"I have a new map!" is [b]not a good title.
"I made a Moutain Climbing map!" is a good title.
16: Spell properly. This isn't AIM.
If you want people to take the time to read your post, then take the time to write it out properly. Saying "ru ok wit dat?" may take less type for you to type, but it takes longer for us to read. "Are you ok with that" doesn't take much longer. This isn't a chatroom, type properly.
17: Do not reply to threads just to reply.
Replying with things like 'uh.. ya' or 'what' doesn't help the thread at all. If you don't have anything to say, don't say it.
18: If you're replying to a thread asking for help, HELP OR DO NOT POST.
Nothing is more annoying than having a real problem and no-one helping you in a 3-page thread. If someone asks for help, then help them, don't post just to post.
19: Blindly defend Roblox. Even when you know you are wrong. (j/k)
