Q: What information do you store about users in your database?
1. At FRENZY, we only store basic stuff such as your IP, your browser, and what operating system you're using (e.g. Windows, Mac, Linux).Q: What do you do with my IP/Why do you store my IP address?
2. IPs are stored, however regular admins/moderators do not have access nor can they view your IP address except for the owners/people with database access. IP addresses are used to identify alt accounts and for other moderation purposes.
Q: Why is my browser/OS stored?
3. The browser and operating system you used to access our website is stored in our access logs which are normal and common practices on many other websites, however we cannot nor do we access your computer/browser at any time nor is it possible.
Q: What about my passwords?
4. Your passwords are hashed meaning they cannot be viewed at all, so in a case of a database breach (which is unlikely) your passwords are safe.Q: What about my email?
5. We do not store your email nor do we ask for it when you register.Q: What is my stored information used for? (Moderation)
6. Your password is used to login to your account, and cannot be viewed by admins/moderators nor people who have access to the database. Your IP is used for moderation purposes and is not viewed by admins/moderators but the database owners can see it in their database. The reason why we store IPs is for identifying alts and other things related to moderating. And about passwords, please keep in mind that they are hashed and cannot be accessed nor viewed by anyone.
Q: What about my information ingame?
7. There used to be several security issues with these clients themselves, but at FRENZY we have done our best to fix these security problems and have also patched them out. One thing that is shown publicly, isn't really documented, but your account is listed as a player ingame (unless you are in Play Solo). We also log your ingame chats, and we do this for moderation reasons. This is to find if you or someone else has posted something that violates our Terms of Service (which should be reported using the ingame report system). Also, just to clarify, we do NOT log your IP ingame nor does it appear ingame. So even IF someone were to find a way to exploit, your IP is still safe and not shown to them and will appear as just 0.
We care about your privacy. We do also take measures to fix vulnerabilities on our website, as well as our game clients to make sure our user's data is safe.
